Unitea Café

I LOVE THIS PLACE they have the BEST matcha. The staff is always so kind and welcoming. I highly recommend the strawberry matcha and the pandan matcha (even though I don’t have a pic of the pandan, it’s a staff favorite!). Their coffee is also INCREDIBLE. Seriously, I’ve never had coffee this good in my life!!!!! Definitely worth trying when visiting Ann Arbor

Absolutely loved this boba spot! The place is super cute, has cozy vibes, adorable decor, and just a really chill atmosphere overall. The girls working there were honestly the sweetest; they even gave me a free drink, which totally made my day. The boba was delicious and I highly recommend getting the strawberry matcha and Crème Brûlée Taro Milk Tea!

I had the best matcha of my entire life here. I almost cried it was so good. They had a booth at the Ann Arbor art fair and were making matcha sifting and whisking it and everything. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

The matcha here is honestly one of the best on campus. It has that perfect balance, smooth, creamy, and earthy without being bitter. You can really taste the quality, and the love it was made with! Unitea has a great variety of amazing drinks and flavors for a good price. I like to try new drinks every time I go and they are all really good like you can’t go wrong with any of them! The service is just as amazing. The staff is always kind, attentive, and welcoming. Even when it gets busy, they take their time to make sure everything is done right, and you can feel their care both the drink and the experience. Just an amazing and soothing environment to study or go with friends. If you love matcha or even if you’ve never tried it, this is the spot you don’t want to miss. Highly recommend!

Delicious matcha lattes - matcha with sesame foam is my favorite. It's great that you can add an extra shot of matcha to any matcha drink and customize sweetness and ice levels. The matcha seems to be decent quality - it's vibrant green and grassy/earthy with slight astringency but not too much. It is not one of those mixes pre blended with milk powder and sugar.

Since Lina took the helm, Unitea has undergone a fantastic transformation. She's not only beautifully remodeled the space, creating a more intimate and welcoming atmosphere but has also significantly elevated the quality of the beverages. Unitea is renowned for its matcha, and as a self-proclaimed beverage connoisseur, I can confidently state that Lina serves the best-grade quality matcha in Southeast Michigan. The superior quality is palpable in every expertly crafted drink. The excellence extends to the staff as well; they are consistently great and well-trained, contributing to the seamless and pleasant experience. It's clear I'm not alone in my admiration, as I frequently observe a loyal base of consistent customers, just like myself, who clearly cherish this place and its people. Unitea is conveniently located near campus, making it easily accessible. For those driving, there's ample street parking (free after 6 PM!) and parking structures nearby. Inside, you'll find reliable Wi-Fi, an easy-to-read menu, and even snacks if you're feeling peckish. While seating is limited, it contributes to the cafe's charming, intimate feel, and there are also two outdoor benches perfect for enjoying the vibrant activity outside. Please, do yourself a favor and make every effort to visit Unitea. Step inside, order a delicious drink, and experience the exceptional service and warm community that make this cafe truly special.

i was really hoping for a vietnamese coffee place close to work when i moved to ann arbor so i was so excited to find a place like unitea near umich! it’s a small but popular cafe and the service is always fast :-) i’ve gotten their matcha, viet coffee, perfect trio fruit tea, and creme brûlée taro in the past and they’re all sooo tasty. the fruit tea was especially refreshing when i wasn’t in the mood for a milk drink. i’m excited to try out the specialty drinks on their menu and will stop by regularly!! the employees are also very friendly and it’s a really cute coffee shop to visit every week

I got the strawberry fresh milk and it was so good! The strawberry flavor tasted super fresh and nottoo sweet. Perfect drink to chill with after class definitely coming back again!
